Spam Email and Texts

You not click on suspicious links or reply to suspicious texts or emails to prevent leaking hotel's sensetive data. Here are a couple examples of spam emails to help you identify one.

We can identify the following red flags from this email:

  1. Email itself looks suspicious.
  2. Very general email. Doesn't mention Superview.
  3. Doesn't seem to as interested as a potential client.

This was is a spam as well, and in fact an even more dangerous one because it contains links that we might click resulting in hotel's sensetive data to be leaked. Here are its red flags:

  1. It seems like an email from booking.com but the sender isn't booking.com. You can see that email address ends with marioncrepe.com not booking.com as it should be if it were a legit email.

  2. If you hover over the link (without clicking), what seems like a link to admin.booking.com isn't actually a link to that site. Check the following bottom left corner that shows that address of the link currently hovered. sample spam

  3. Never ever ever send money to someone who pretends to be a potential guest or lures by sending free cash or overpayment.

  4. If you are not sure, ask. Prevention is better than cure.
